r2 =5544

r2 = 441

r = 21cm

Now

Volume = 4/3πr3

= 4/3 × 22/7 ×21×21×21

= 38808cm3

OR

Surface area of a sphere = 5544cm^2

4pie r^2 = 5544

r^2 = 441cm

r = 21cm.

Now,

Volume of a sphere = 4/3 pie r^3..

= 4/3 × 22/7 × 21 ×21 ×21

= 38808 cm^3

\displaystyle\huge\red{\underline{\underline{Solution}}}

A sphere is defined as the set of points that are exactly some given distance from some specified centre point.

PROPERTIES

1. General equation of a sphere with centre at origin & radius r unit is given by

 {x}^{2}  +  {y}^{2}  +  {z}^{2}  =  {r}^{2}

2. The surface area of a sphere of radius r unit is

 = 4\pi {r}^{2}  \:  \: sq \: uit

3. Volume of a sphere of radius r unit is

 =  \frac{4}{3} \pi {r}^{3}  \:  \:

CALCULATION

Let radius of the sphere = r cm

So The surface area of the sphere

 = 4\pi {r}^{2}  \:  \: sq \: uit

Therefore

 4\pi {r}^{2}  \:  = 5544

 \implies \: 4 \times  \frac{22}{7}  \times  {r}^{2}  = 5544

 \implies \:  {r}^{2}  \:  = 5544 \times  \frac{7}{22}  \times  \frac{1}{4}

 \implies \:  {r}^{2}  \:  = 441

 \therefore \: r \:  = 21

Hence the required radius = 21 cm

Also Volume of a sphere

 =  \frac{4}{3} \times  \pi  \times {21}^{3}  \:   \: \:  {cm}^{3}

 =  38808 \:  \:  {cm}^{3}
