Hello!

Here is the answer for your question!

Question:-  The surface area of a sphere is 616 cm2. Its radius is

------------------------------------------------------------------

Answer:-

  • Given, surface area of sphere = 616 cm²
  • Formula for surface area of sphere = 4πr²

substituting values,

                               4πr² = 616

                               4 × \frac{22}{7} × r² = 616

                               88 × r² = 4312   (cross multiplication)

                               r² = \frac{4312}{88}

                               r² = 49

                                r = 7

  • The radius of the sphere is 7cm

------------------------------------------------------------------

Hope this helped you with your doubt :)

given:-

surface area of a sphere =616cm²

To find:-

radius of sphere=?

Solution:-

surface area of sphere :-

4\pi \: r {}^{2}

surface area is given now we put value

616 = 4\pi \: r {}^{2}

now \: take \: \pi =  \frac{22}{7}

equation we get

616 = 4 \times  \frac{22}{7}  \times  {r}^{2}

616×7=22×4×r²

4312=88×r²

 {r}^{2}  =  \frac{4312}{88}

r²=49

r=7

radius of sphere is 7cm
