Given:-

  • Area ,a = 20m²

  • Force ,F = 10N

To Find:-

  • Pressure ,P

Solution:-

As we know that Pressure is defined as the Force per unit area.

• P = F/a

Substitute the value we get

→ P = 10/20

→ P = 1/2

→ P = 0.5 Pa.

Therefore, the pressure acting on the area is 0.5 Pascal.

Additional Information!!

Product of mass and acceleration is called force.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀OR

A push or pull of an object is called force.

✧ SI unit of Force is Newton.

✧ It is denoted by N.

✧ Force is vector Quantity i.e., both Magnitude and direction.

✧ Mathematical term

⟹ Force = Mass×Acceleration

Answer:

ANSWER :

The pressure exerted by the object is 0.5 Pa.

Explanation:

QUESTION :

The surface area of an object is 20m² and the force of 10N is applied on it then what is pressure ?

GIVEN :

  • Area (A) = 20m²
  • Force (F) = 10 N

TO FIND :

  • Pressure (P) = ?

CONCEPT USED :

  • Pressure = Force / Area
  • Force = Pressure × Area
  • Area = Force / Pressure

SOLUTION :

Pressure = Force / Area

Pressure = 10N / 20m²

Pressure = 1N / 2m²

Pressure = 0.5 N/m²

Pressure = 0.5 Pa (Pascal)

Therefore , the pressure exerted by the object is 0.5 Pa.

NOTE :

1 N/1 m² = 1 Pa

1 N/m² = 1 Pa

N = Newton

m = metre

Pa = Pascal

ANSWER :

The pressure exerted by the object is 0.5 Pa.
