$x {}^{2} + 4x + y$

$= (x + 2) {}^{2}$

$so \: . \: length \: = x + 2$

$(ii) \: Valume \: = lengh {}^{3} \\ = (x + 2) {}^{3}$

$= x {}^{2} + 4x {}^{2} + 4x$

$+ 2x {}^{2} + 8x + 8$

$x {}^{3} + 6x {}^{2} + 12x + 8$
