Given :  cylindrical tank of base diameter 28 cm and height 5400 cm

To Find :   the cost of painting the surface of the tank at the rate of $20 per m².  

capacity in litres.​

Solution:

Diameter = 28 cm

=> Radius = 28/2 = 14 cm

Height = 5400 cm  

Surface area = 2πrh + 2πr²

= 2πr(h + r)

= 2(22/7)14 (5400 + 14)

= 88 (5414)

= 4,76,432 cm²

1 m² = 10000 cm²

= 47.6432 m²

cost of painting the surface of the tank at the rate of $20 per m².  = 20 *  47.6432  = Rs  952.864

Volume = πr²h

= (22/7)(14)² * 5400

= 22 * 28 * 5400

= 3326400 cm³

1 m³ = ml

Capacity =3326400 ml

= 3326.4 litre
