because the electrical conductivity depends on thickness of wire as the Surface area of metal corode it will become less thicker

this is because when metal get corroded their properties also change like their strength,ductility,conductivity etc. and due to its impure form there is looss of electrons which decreases and free charge are not available and conductivity decreases
