The movement was laid so as to make people believe in their rights and give their voice as indians towards british. it wqs for the first time when indian people instead of being suppressed revolted and struggled for their nation. it involved boycott of british goods and a sense of nationalism was spread to people.
many teachers and students left the british institutes. many people started wearing khadi.
