Indeed, the system of government in Mandela's country i.e South Africa, the first and the final decade of twentieth century were in total contrast.

In the first decade of the century, the whites erected a system of racial domination against the blacks, thus creating the basis of one of the harshest societies the world has ever known.

But, in the final or last decade of the twentieth century, the previous system had been overturned and replaced with one which recognized rights and freedom of all people regardless of the colour of their skin.

Hope it helps you!!
