Hey bro !!

Here is your answer...

➡ Given :- For 1 hour = $3
for subsequent half hour = $2
He pays $9 when he returned.

➡To Find :- Time when Kenny returned the bicycle.

➡ Solution :- He pays $9 means he returns his bicycle after 2 and 1/2 hour.

HOW ??

He pays $9
Given that for 1 hour $3 would charge.

Now, remaining $6.
For 1st 30min = $2
2nd 30min = $2
3rd 30 min = $2

So adding 1st and 2nd 30 min we get 1 hour.

Hence, total time he used the bicycle for 2:30 hours.

so, the answer is ( d ) 4 : 38 pm

HOPE IT HELPS YOU....

THANKS ^-^

hey buddy

here your answer goes like this

given,

amount paid for first 1hour of journey = $3
and for half an hour = $2

he paid $9 means we can say that he travelled for 3hrs
as per 1hr = $3
(x)?? = $9
cross multiplication we can say that

3x = 9×1

x = 9/3

x = 3

so time he taken to travel is 3hrs

so frm 2pm he used for 3hs

=> 2:00 + 3:00 = 5:00pm

=> At 5pm he returned

think no option is there
