if the we find the slope of

tangent,....

 \frac{dy}{dx}  = 4x - 1

the equation for the tangent is

y - y1 =  \frac{dy}{dx} (x - x1)

we get..

y = 3x+9 and the slope is 3

so,

 \frac{dy}{dx}  = 4x - 1 = 3

x= 1

now we put value to the 1st equation

and the y =

y = 2( {1}^{2} ) - 1 + 1

y = 2

the point is (x,y)= (1,2)

and the tangential equation is y= 3x -1
