Answer:

th

let \: the \: fixedcharges \: be \: rs \: x \\ and \: the \: other \: chrge \: be \: rs \: y \:   \\ then \: x + 10y = 105 \\ x + 15y = 155 \\ on \: sbstartcting \\  - 5y =  - 50 \\ y = 10 \\ x = 5 \\ hence \: the \: fixed \: charge \: is \: rs \: 5 \: and \: rte \: per \: km \:  = 10km \:

Question:

The taxi charges in a city consist of a fixed charge together with the charge for the distance covered. for a distance of 10km the charge paid is rs105 and for a journey of 15km,the charge paid is 155rs .what are the fixed charges and the charge perkm? how much does a person have to pay for travelling a distance of 25 km?

Answer:

→ Let the X be fixed price in rs

→Let y be the charge in km

●According to the Ques.

→ X+10y = 105........(1)

→X+15y = 155.......(2)

X+10y = 105

X= 105-10y.......(3)

Put the value of X in equation (2)..

◕ X+15y=155

◕(105-10y)+15y=155

→105- 5y = 155

→5y=155-105

→5y=50

→y=10

Put the value of y in equation (3)..

→x=105-10(10)

→x=105-100

→x=5

Hence fix charges of taxi =X=Rs=5

charges for distance travelled y= 10Rs

→X+25y

→5+25(10)

→255
