the taxi fare in a city is as follow for the first km the fare is Rs 8 and for the subsequent distance it is Rs 5 perkm. taking the distance covered as x km and total fare as Rs y write a liner equation for this information and draw it's graph

Let the total fare be - Y
Therefore.. According to the question
For first km it is rs 8 and for subsequent kms it is rs 5 per km
Therefore the linear equation is
8+5X=Y
Or
5X-Y+8=0
