Answer:

Total distance covered = x km

Total fare = Rs. y

Fare for the first kilometre = Rs. 7

Subsequent distance = (x - 1) km

Fare for the subsequent distance = Rs. 10(x-1)

According to the question,

y = 7 + 10(x-1)

= 7 + 10x - 10

y = 10x - 3

Table of solutions

x 0 1

y -3 7

we plot the points (0, -3) and (1, 7) on the graph paper and join the same by ruler to get the line which is the graph of equation y = 10x - 3.

Hope you got your answer

Step-by-step explanation:

let..the.total distance be. = x

" " " " " ' total fare be= ₹ y

₹y...we can get....when..the..equation.willbe

y = 10x - 3

let fill.. 6km..in place of x

y = 10(6) -3

y= 60-4 = ₹57
