The teacher puts a sugar cube into a container of warm water. How come eventually, the sugar cube is no longer visible?

The sugar cube dissolves. This happens when the sugar molecules get in between the intermolecular spaces present between water molecules. Solvation of sugar can also happen due to hydrogen bonding between oxygen atoms in the saccharide and hydrogen atoms in water.
