Question : The teacher said to the student, "Have you solved the question?" ( Change the Narration )

Answer : The teacher asked the student if he had solved the question.

Rules :

  • To change the Narration for Interrogative Sentences, the sentence must be changed into an Assertive Sentence.
  • We will replace "say", "tell" etc with "ask", "enquire of" and in some cases with "want to know".
  • "Whether" or "If" is to be used as Introductory Conjunction.
  • We will use a full stop in the end of Indirect Speech.
  • Since the Reported Speech is in Present Perfect Tense, it will be changed into Past Perfect Tense as the Reporting Verb is in Past Tense itself.
