let the lowest score be x

according to the situation

2x+7=87

x=40

Therefore 40 is the lowest marks in class

pls mark it brainliest pls if it helps

let the highest mark b x and lowest mark be y then the equation will be

x = 2 Y + 7

87=2y+7.

87-7=2y

80=2y.

y=80/2

y=40..marks

Hey there.....!!

Let the lowest marks be 'x'

then according to the question,

3x - 7 = 86

3x = 86 + 7

3x = 93

x = 31

Hence the lowest marks are 31

Hope this helps!!
