write the equation is ➡ 2x+7=87

then 2x=87-7

2x=80

x=80/2

=40

so the lowest marks that obtained in the classroom is 40

hi there,

highest mark=87 (given)

let, lowest marks be x

according to given condition,

2x+7=87 ("twice the lowest marks +7 is highest marks that is 87")

2x=80

x=40

so,lowest marks in the class is 40
