The teacher then asked the students to write a similar pattern. Which set of numbers follows the teacher's pattern?
2, 4, 6, 8, 10
3, 6, 9, 12, 15

According to me, The 3rd set is correct because

The sequence of the teacher has a difference of 6 btw two consecutive numbers and the same is with the 3rd option

Answer:

option C, '2, 8, 14, 20, and 26' is the correct answer.

Given:

5, 11, 17, 23, 29

To find:

the alternative that follows a similar pattern:

2, 4, 6, 8, 10

3, 6, 9, 12, 15

2, 8, 14, 20, 26

1, 4, 7, 10, 13

Solution:

here, we have been given a series and we need to find out another similar one. on careful observation of the given series, we can see that each successive number of a series increases by 6 i.e.:

5 + 6 = 11 + 6 = 17 + 6 = 23 + 6 = 29

so, out of the given alternatives, option 3 follows an identical pattern.

let's check,

2 + 6 = 8 + 6 = 14 + 6 = 20 + 6 = 26

Hence, option C, '2, 8, 14, 20, and 26' is the correct answer.
