The telephone wires which sog in summer become straight in winter. Give reason.

During summers, as the temperature rises there is expansion in the wires which results in the increase in the lengths of wire and ultimately makes them sog.
During winters, as the temperature falls there is contraction in the wires resulting in decrease in their length and makes them straight.
