Option D) Chart Area

  • A graph that combines a line chart with a bar chart to depict changes in amounts over time is called an area chart. In that data points are plotted and connected by line segments, it is comparable to a line graph. The region below the line, however, is shaded or filled in with colour.
  • An area chart in Excel is a line graph with different coloured lines separating the data from distinct series. It displays the effects and alterations in several data series across time. Unfortunately, Excel doesn't have an internal chart for the area chart. Instead, we use a line chart to create this diagram.
  • To illustrate how the numerical values of one or more groups vary over the course of a second variable, usually time, an area chart combines the line chart and bar chart. By including shading between the lines and a baseline, similar to a bar chart, an area chart can be distinguished from a line chart.
  • Area and items in the chart are collectively referred to as the chart area. The horizontal axis of a chart is known as the category axis, sometimes known as the X-axis. Value Axis: The vertical axis used to plot the values is known as the value axis or Y-axis.
