The temperature at which a real gas obeys ideal gas law over an appreciable range of pressure is called Boyle Temperature or Boyle Point.

At Boyle temperature, the first virial coefficient (B) vanishes and real gas approaches ideal behavior. T_B = a/Rb Here ‘a’ and ‘b’ are van der Waals’ constants.

For an Ideal gas: For an ideal gas, Z = 1 at any temperature or pressure. Boyle point depends on the nature of the real gas.
