The temperature at 12 noon was 10°C . If the temperature decreases at the
rate of 2°C every hour, at what time will the temperature be (-4)°C ?

The temperature decreases by = 10° - (-4°)

= 10° + 4° = 14°

2° decreases in 1 hour

1° decreases in 1/2 hour

14° decreases in = 0.5×14 hour

= 7 hours
