The temperature at which a liquid starts changing into ots solid atate is called freezing point.
The temperature at which a liquid starts changing into its solid state is called freezing point. The molecules in the liquid when release heat, become weak to counter the intermolecular force of attraction. On more cooling i.e. releasing heat , they at some point called freezing point, a specific temperature, the intermolecular force binds them turning them into solid. This process is know as a theory called Kinetic theory of matter. After turning into a solid the density remains unchanged on more cooling.
