The temperature at which the conductivity of material becomes infinite is called critical temperature.

  • Every substance has a critical temperature and critical pressure. When the conductivity of material reaches infinity it gets converted to superconductor and the temperature where the material conversion occurs is called critical temperature.
  • After the substance reaches the critical temperature there is no further rise or decrease in temperature and stops there.
  • Usually, superconductors arise from a temperature of 0 C to 10 K. At this point of time we get a superconductor with critical temperature.
