vrms = √(3RT/M)

For oxygen at STP,

v(O2) = √(3R×273/4)

For helium at temperature T,

v(He) = √(3R×T/32)

Given that,

v(O2) = v(He)

√(3R×273/4) = (3R×T/32)

3R×273/4 = 3R×T/32

T = 273/4 × 32

T = 2184 K
