Q]_____

Use R = R0 = ( 1 + αT ) because variation of resistance is exceeding 6%

R1 = R0 ( 1 + αt1 )

∴ 1 = R0 [ 1 + 0.00125 × 300 ] _[i]

R2 = R0 ( 1 + αt2 )

∴ 2 = R0 [ 1 + αt2 ]

2 = R0 [ 1 + 0.00125 × t2 ] _[ii]

Divide eq. [ii] [i], we get

2 = 1 + 0.00125 t2 / 1 +0.00125× 300

or, t2 = 1400°C

t2 = 1673 K

Therefore Solution is 2nd option
