Temperature on the first day = 3°C.

Temperature on the next day = -4°C

So, the temperature difference between the two days = {3-(-4)}℃

= (3+5)℃

= 7℃.

Hence, the temperature decreased by 7℃ on the next day.

So, the answer is a) Decrease by 7℃.
