When the temperature of a conductor is increased. The Straight line graph will show the best variation of its resistance.

Explanation :

  • we know the relation between resistance and temperature for the conductor, For the conductor we have resistance is directly proportional to the temperature.

                                         R  ∝ T

                       Or

                                         R = KT

                             (   Where K is constant   )

  • Compare the equation with the general equation of the straight line which is,

                                       y = mx +c

So as by relation we see when we increase the temperature, the resistance will increase and there is a linear relationship between resistance and temperature. So we conclude that the R - T graph between them will be the straight line.
