1. Number of molecule in unit volume of the vessel is :

Given that : Temperature, T = 273K

Pressure, P = 1.60 ×10^-3 and Volume, V = 1 unit

• Using Ideal gas equation,

• PV = nRT

n = PV/RT = 1.60 ×10^-3×1 / 8.314×273K

= 1.60×10^-3 / 2269.722 = 7.049 × 10^-7 molecules

• Hence, no. of molecules is 7.049 × 10^-7

2. For average distance between the molecules we need more detailed information.
