1. Rise of 5 degree in temperature means the temperature increases by 5 degrees .

So, -2 plus 5= 3 degree Celsius

And Then the fall in temperature is of 12° Celsius so , 3 minus 12 degree =- 9 ° Celsius final temperature

2. In the second question there is a fall of 9° Celsius first and then it increased 17°

So, -2-9 plus 17 = 6° Celsius
