As we know that,

the initial temperature of the piece of the metal is -13°C and the temperature after heating the piece of the metal is 63°C

then,

the temperature difference between the two is ={ 63°C -(-13°C)}

={ 63°C + 13°C}

= 76°C.

So, the exact temperature midway the initial temperature and the final temperature is

= 76°C/2

= 38°C.
