The temperature of lead of mass 400g rises from 20⁰C to 50⁰Cwhe 1560 J of heat
is supplied to it.
Calculate i) heat capacity of lead piece ii) specific heat capacity of
lead.​

Given,

The temperature of lead of mass 400g rises from 20⁰C to 50⁰Cwhe 1560 J of heat is supplied to it.

i) Heat capacity = heat supplied / change in temperature

or, Heat capacity = 1560 / (50-20) = 52 J /°C

ii) Specific Heat capacity = heat supplied / (mass*Δt)

or, Specific heat capacity = 1560/(400*30) = 0.13 J/g °C
