The temperature today is 7 degrees Celsius. Yesterday it was 13 degrees Celsius cooler. What was the temperature yesterday?

the temperature today is 7 degrees Celsius
the temperature of yesterday was 13 degree cooler than the temperature of today

therefore the temperature of yesterday was (-6) degree Celsius.

So for this question we will subtract 7 by 13 and the answer would be -6 Celsius.
