Answer:

➞ T = mg

➞ T = 1000 × 10

➞ T = 10000 N

➞ F = T - mg

➞ F = 10000 - 1000×10

➞ F = 0

Option (D) So, acceleration may be at rest or in uniform motion

Answer

Given,

  • the tension in the cable of 2000 kg elevator is 1000 kg weight .

To find ,

  • the acceleration of the elevator .

So ,

=> T = mg

  • putting the value we get

=> T = 1000 × 10

=> T = 10000

Now ,

  • F = T - Mg

putting the value we get

=> F = 10000 - 1000×10

=> F = 10000 - 10000

=> F = 0

The answer is option (D) Acceleration of the object may be at rest or in uniform motion .
