The term metamorphosis is not used while describing human
development. Why?

The word metamorphosis means the change of the form or nature of the thing into a completely different one. This process of transformation occurs in a some animals. for example a butterfly. The eggs of butterfly becomes a caterpillar. Then occurs metamorphosis and the caterpillar changes to chrysalis. Once again, the process of metamorphosis repeats and chrysalis changes to a butterfly. This do not happens in case of humans. They are exactly the same since their childhood. Therefore, metamorphosis do not occur in humans.
