The term metamorphosis is not used while describing human development.why?

INTRODUCTION:Metamorphosis is the transformation of the larva into adult through drastic changes.
Meta means -beyond ;morphe means -form.
Example are frog,insects etc.

THE TERM METAMORPHOSIS IS NOT USED WHILE DESCRIBING HUMAN DEVELOPMENT BECAUSE OF THE FOLLOWING REASONS:

1)Humans belongs to viviparous category (directly give birth to young ones)

2)Only internal fertilization takes place(zygote & development of foetus  takes place inside inside the mothers womb or uterus)
