In human beings, body parts of an adult are present from the time of birth itself. Whereas, in metamorphosis, the parts of the adult are different from those at the time of birth. Metamorphosis does not take place in humans and other viviparous animals because their offspring are fully formed inside their mother’s womb. They do not need any further differentiation of their body parts. However, after their birth, there is a further growth and development of the body parts to reach maturity.
