the text in class 10th sst says, "western printing techniques and mechanical presses were imported in the late nineteenth century".
But according to the starting of the chapter "Print culture and modern world" the print technology was first developed in china.
Then where did the western printing machines came? was china not actually the first one to develop the printing machines. please do answer.​

China was the first to develop something like printing which includes woodblock printing or in brief handmade printing. China developed a method which did not includes specific machines or western techniques it only marked something like printing using human labor and techniques on the other hand western printing includes printing using machines and was imported to China from countries which expanded the thought of printing on large numbers such as Germany.
