The theory of Divine origin is a modern theory it is FALSE because it is an oldest theory of all the theories of the origin of the state.In ancient period King ruled over the state and in this theory also the state was ruled by the king or agent of God. We find some evidences of St. Paul saying in the Old testament of the Bible and In Christians, Pope held the status of semi God ,in Muslims the Caliph was the King.

This theory is also known as divine right of Kings. Now Divine right theory lost its importance.

According to divine right theory the state is established and ruled by God himself. Directly or indirectly God may rule the state.Kings or some rulers are considered as an agent of God. The kings were not responsible to any human being they were only responsible to God. All the human beings must obey the order of the king. No human beings can not question him for the right or wrong done by him. Some human beings consider them as a shadow of God on earth.
