ratio of 6.72 mm and 12.06 mm is 112 : 201

The thickness of two books are 6.72 mm and 2.06 mm. we have to find ratio of their thickness.

ratio means how many times a number contains the other number.

if two number X and y are given then ratio of x and y is written as x : y = x/y

now, ratio of 6.72 mm and 12.06 mm = 6.72/12.06 = 672/1206

= 336/603

= 112/201

here, HCF of {112, 201} = 1

means, we can't resolve it further into simpler form.

so, ratio of 6.72 mm and 12.06 mm is 112 : 201

Given-

Thickness of book 1(b1)= 6.72mm

Thickness of book 2(b2)= 12.06mm

Ratio=b1/b2

=6.72/12.06

=1.12/2.01

Therefore, the eatio between the thickness of two books is 1.12 : 2.01
