I wouldn't say that but to some extent yes the Marathas whose power extended up to Delhi and nadir shah waged a war against each other in the battlefield of panipat in 1756. nadir shah had conquered Punjab and marched towards Delhi.many soldiers and officials were lost. the Marathas were forced to return back to the deccan. their policy of plundering nearby kingdoms had cost then dearly. nobody not even the jats and rajputs came to their aif
