Given :–

  • Three angles of a triangle are in ratio 5:4:1

To Find :–

  • All angles of a triangle.

Solution :–

Let,

• The first angle be 5x.

• The second angle be 4x.

• The third angle be x.

We know that,

Sum of all the angles of a triangle is 180°.

So,

⟹ ∠1 + ∠2 + ∠3 = 180°

⟹ 5x + 4x + x = 180°

⟹ 10x = 180°

⟹ x =  \dfrac{18\cancel0}{1\cancel0}

⟹ x = 18°

So, the angles are:

  • ∠1 = 5x = 5 × 18° = 90°
  • ∠2 = 4x = 4 × 18° = 72°
  • ∠3 = 1x = 1 × 18° = 18°

Check :–

⟹ ∠1 + ∠2 + ∠3 = 180°

⟹ 90° + 72° + 18° = 180°

⟹ 90° + 90° = 180°

⟹ 180° = 180°

Since, the L.H.S. and the R.H.S. are equal.

So, the answer is correct.
