by angle sum property of triangle

2x+3x+5x+40=180

10x =140

x 140/10=14

2x=2×14=28

3x=3×14=42

5x+40=5×14+40=70+40=110

5x+40 is a largest angle

  • Largest angle is 110°.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

  • Three angles of triangle are 2x°, 3x° and 5x + 40°.

To find:-

  • Largest angle.

Solution:-

We know that,

Sum of all interior angles of triangle is equal to 180°.

So,

 \leadsto 2x° + 3x° + 5x° + 40° = 180°

 \leadsto 10x° + 40° = 180°

 \leadsto 10x° = 180° - 40°

 \leadsto 10x° = 140°

 \leadsto x = 140°/10°

 \leadsto x = 14°

Verification:-

 \leadsto 2x° + 3x° + 5x° + 40° = 180°

  • Put x = 14°

 \leadsto (2×14)° + (3×14)° + (5×14)° + 40° = 180°

 \leadsto 28° + 42° + 70° + 40° = 180°

 \leadsto 140° + 40° = 180°

 \leadsto 180° = 180°

Hence, Verified!!

Angles:

✳ 2x = 2×14 = 28°

✳ 3x = 3×14 = 42°

✳ 5x + 40° = 5×14 + 40° = 110°

Therefore,

Largest angle is 110°.
