Given:

Three angles of triangle:

  • 5x + 4
  • x - 3
  • 3x + 7

What To Find:

We have to find the angles of the triangle.

Property Used:

Sum of interior angle of triangle = 180°

Solution:

Using the property,

⇒ Sum of interior angle = 180°

Substitute the angles,

⇒ 5x + 4 + x - 2 + 3x + 7 = 180°

Rearrange the like terms,

⇒ 5x + x + 3x + 4 - 2 + 7 = 180°

Solve the terms,

⇒ 9x + 9 = 180°

Take 9 to LHS,

⇒ 9x = 180 - 9

Subtract 9 from 180,

⇒ 9x = 171

Take 9 to LHS,

⇒ x = 171/9

Divide 171 by 9,

⇒ x = 19

Substitute the values,

  • 5x + 4 = 5 × 19 + 4 = 95 + 4 = 99°
  • x - 2 = 19 - 2 = 17°
  • 3x + 7 = 3 × 19 + 7 = 57 + 7 = 64°

∴ Thus, the angles are 99°, 17° and 64°°.
