The length of each side of the cube = a
By our observation from the diagram made, a cuboid is formed.
where,
- Length 'l' = a + a + a = 3a
- Breadth 'b' = a
- Height 'h' = a
We know,
TSA of Cuboid = 2(lb + bh + lh)
∴ TSA of the cuboid:-
2(3a × a + a × a + a × 3a)
= 2(3a² + a² + 3a²)
= 2(7a²)
= 14 a²
∴ Surface Area of the solid figure so formed is (14 a²).
