Let the three digit number be 
Number = 100x + 10y + z
            
Thus the reverse number = 100z + 10y + x
And according to question
Reverse number = 396

Thus comparing we get

100z = 300
z = 3
10y = 90
 y = 9
and 
x = 6
so the actual number is = 600+90+3
                                      = 693
