The three no.are in the ratio 3:7:9. if 5 is subtracted from the second ,the resulting numbers form an A.P .
find the original numbers.​

let the constant of propotionality be x, then the 3 nos. are 3x, 7x, 9x

according to ur qestion 3x, 7x-5, 9x form an AP.

=> there must be a common difference (d)

(7x-5)-3x = d = 9x -(7x -5)

4x-5 =2x +5

2x = 10

x = 5

therefore the 3 nos. are

3*5=15, 7*5=35 and 9*5=45

ans. 15,35,45
