Since, the points A(3,4),B(6,λ) and C(6,4) are colinear

$∴∆=0 = x_{1}(y_{2} - y_{3} ) + x_{2}(y_{3} - y_{1} ) + x_{3}(y_{1} - y _{2})$

So,

$3(λ - 4) + 6(4 - 4) + 6(4 - λ) = 0$

$= > 3λ - 12 + 0 + 24 - 6λ = 0$

$= > - 3λ + 12 = 0$

$= > - 3λ = - 12$

$= > λ = \frac{ - 12}{ - 3}$

$= > λ = 4$
