The following questions are taken from the poem "A tiger in the zoo".

1. The correct answer is option A) Grass

  • In the poem the poet said that the tiger is walking in its natural habitat and hiding in the long grass so that other animals won’t be able to notice his movement .

2.  The correct Answer is option C ) fat deer

  • The tiger is waiting for a fat deer  to come near the water hole. He will attack the deer from the back  when the deer will be busy drinking the water.

3. The correct answer is option D) plump

  • The meaning of the word plump is similar to fat or chubby, stout or something having a full rounded shape. The word has been used in the poem to refer to the fat deer.

4. The correct answer is option B) The tiger

  • The poem is all about The Tiger in the zoo compared with a tiger living in a jungle. The poet beautifully portrays out the contrast between the living cycle of both the Tigers.

5. The correct answer is option B)  alliteration

  • the stanza 2 line number four of the poem the line is “ where plump dear pass” . Alliteration refers to a repetition of consonants sounds in the same line. plump pass both contain the sound of letter P. So that’s why The poetic Device used here is alliteration.
