So the distance traveled by sound will be the distance between the observer and the lightning strike

so the time lag between the light and sound is 5 s

so d = 330 x 5 = 1650 m = 1.65 km ANSWER

given,
time interval = 5 sec.
speed acquired = 330 m/s
∴ distance ,
speed = distance / time
330 = distance / 5
330*5 = distance
1650 = distance.
∴ distance = 1650 meter.
